Worldwide Auctioneers to add an exciting three day, 450 car line up to its premier catalogue auction in Auburn, Indiana, over Labor Day Weekend

Worldwide Auctioneers has confirmed its commitment to the future of Auburn, Indiana, as the long established classic car capital of the world and the base for its own U.S Headquarters. The company announced today that its premier catalogue event, The Auburn Auction, will this year serve as the climax to an expanded three day sale, showcasing and limited to an additional 450 hand-picked motorcars. Led by a stunning 1929 Duesenberg Model J LeBaron Dual Cowl Phaeton, several important cars are already consigned.

“Many of the great cars have traded hands here in Auburn over the years. This, after all, is where the industry was born,” said Rod Egan, Managing Partner and also the company’s Chief Auctioneer. “Labor Day weekend in Auburn has long been the bedrock of the classic car calendar. Our absolute commitment is to give traditional collectors the ongoing incentive to keep coming back and to welcome new enthusiasts with an exciting selection of superior motorcars, a dynamic, re-energized environment, and a level of service that is simply second to none.”

The expanded and improved Auburn Auction is scheduled to take place from Thursday, September 2nd through Saturday, September 4th on the grounds of Worldwide’s headquarters in Auburn, as an integral part of the celebrated and long-standing Auburn Cord Duesenberg Weekend. The Auburn Auction itself, limited to just 80 outstanding automobiles, will be held as usual on the evening of Saturday, September 4th. “We will present 150 additional motorcars each day over the three day period, with consignments limited to that number to enable us to properly manage and regulate quality and presentation,” said John Kruse, Managing Partner. “We are thrilled to be in a position to build upon the success of The Auburn Auction and look forward to playing a key role in Auburn’s ongoing evolution at the heart of this great industry. Look out for full details and ongoing updates online at www.wwgauctions.com.”
